Laudable, laudatory (adjs.)

Laudable 意為「值得讚揚的,值得稱讚的」(praiseworthy),通常指事物、行為、事件等,鮮少指人,如 a laudable aim/ambition/effort/performance (值得讚揚的目標/雄心/努力/表演);The study plan is laudable, but I hope you can follow it to the letter.

Laudatory 意為「表示讚揚的;讚揚的,讚美的,稱讚的」(praising, full of praise),如 a laudatory remark (讚美的言論);Fiona spoke of her husband in laudatory terms.

The school principal made a laudatory speech concerning the students’ laudable accomplishments. (關於這些學生值得稱道的成就,校長發表談話予以讚揚);The new movie is very laudable, so it has received laudatory reviews from a lot of critics.
