- I consider her irresponsible.
I am considering her irresponsible. (誤) - Mary regards Jack’s achievement as unique.
Mary is regarding Jack’s achievement as unique.
- Randy is currently considered (to be) the best actor in Taiwan.
- I consider Cindy to be right for the position.
切記:Consider 不可跟 as 連用 (regard 才可與 as 連用)。例如:
- Brant is considered to be an expert in horticulture.
= Brant is considered an expert in horticulture. (正)
Brant is considered as an expert in horticulture. (誤) - We all consider him to be the most successful businessman in Taiwan.
= We all consider him the most successful businessman in Taiwan. (正)
We all consider him as the most successful businessman in Taiwan.
Consider + (that) 子句。例如:
- We consider that Professor Chen is not competent.
- Teresa considers (that) she should not help him.
- Most people consider the company to have the most advanced mobile technology.
- It is considered bad manners to talk loudly in public transportation.
- He is generally/widely regarded as an expert on criminal law.
- Professor Lin is generally regarded as one of the best teachers in the school.
- The government regards pay raise for the working class as a main priority.
- Do you regard their customer services as good or bad?
