說明：這個流行語亦可用 to dress in the same style and color 來表示。網路上流傳「撞衫」的英文是 clash with an outfit，非也！這是以訛傳訛的說法。clash with an outfit 的意思是「衣服不搭配」。同樣地，英文還有 outfit clash 的說法，但這一用語的意思也是「衣服不搭配」，不是「撞衫」，如 Outfit clashes are taboo to celebs. (名流忌諱穿衣服不搭配)。
