這問題也困擾我很久。 我有JD也有LLM，所以很多人會說你幹嘛念完博士在去念碩士，我的答案是JD不是博士，他比較像是MD是個專業學位。 不過Gary說得沒錯，在美國會去讀SJD的人真的是非常的少數也幾乎都是外國人(LLM也是)。 我在Georgetown的時候一個朋友就打算獨SJD，但他完全沒打算要當律師。
不過說真的，拿JD跟Ph.D來比是很沒有意義的。 這兩個一個是專業學位，一個是學術學位。 SJD跟Ph.D可以比較，但是以經濟面來說，SJD真的沒有加分。
最後，我同意Gary的問法有點問題，但LLM的回答我更看不懂。還有，不要再說美國律師難考了。 美國律師考試很累，但真的不難。
