Thank you for + V-ing 的用法
“Thank you for” 或 “Thanks for” 後面可以接動名詞 (-ing 形式)。例如：

Thank you 作為名詞使用
“Thank you” 也可以當作名詞使用，常與 big 搭配。例如：

Thank 作為動詞使用
“Thank” 可以作為 (及物) 動詞使用，後面一定要接受詞，常搭配 for + 名詞 或 for + V-ing。例如：
- I thank you for your advice. (我感謝你的建議)
(這句比較正式) - We would like to thank everyone for their generosity. (我們想感謝每一位慷慨付出的人)
- I’d like to thank you for coming here tonight. (我想感謝你今晚前來)
Thank God 的用法
當我們因為某件事情如願發生 (或避免了我們擔心會發生的事情) 而感到欣慰時，我們會說 Thank God，而不是 Thanks God。例如：
- Thank God you’re home! I was so worried that you’d had an accident. (感謝上帝你平安回來了！我剛剛還擔心你是不是出了什麼意外) (正)
- Thanks God you’re home! I was so worried that you’d had an accident. (誤)
回應別人說 thank you 和 thanks 的方式
我們可以使用 you’re welcome (較正式的用法)、not at all 或 no problem 來回應別人的感謝，但不要用 please 作為回應。例如：
- A: Thanks for the flowers. You shouldn’t have. (A：謝謝你的花。你太客氣了)
B: You’re welcome. (B：不客氣)
不要說：Please. 或 Nothing. - A: Thank you for fixing the Internet connection. (A：謝謝你修好了網路連線)
B: No problem. (B：沒問題)
Thanks to 的用法
我們常用 thanks to 來表示「多虧了…」、「因為 …」(because of) 的意思，這項用法在書面語中比口語更常見。例如：
- A Taipei man is back home from hospital and planning his summer wedding, thanks to a life-saving heart transplant. (台北一名男子因為接受了一次救命的心臟移植手術，如今已出院回家，並開始籌備他的夏季婚禮)
- Thanks to cancer research, Cindy is now fit and well. (多虧了癌症研究，辛蒂現在身體健康、狀況良好)
